Welcome to Vaishno Devi Temple!
Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta, Ambe, and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Durga. According to Hindu mythology, Vaishno Devi represents a combination of three supreme energies: Maha Kali (the goddess of destruction), Maha Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth), and Maha Saraswati (the goddess of knowledge and wisdom).
The shrine of Vaishno Devi (located in the Trikuta Hills in Jammu and Kashmir state in northern India), is one of the most revered places of worship in India. The shrine of Mata ji is located deep inside the Trikuta Hills, with the starting point of the trek/journey being Banaganga in Katra town. The shrine is visited by millions of devotees every year, who undertake a challenging trek to reach the shrine. The pilgrimage to this sacred temple is considered one of the holiest pilgrimages in Hinduism.
It is also believed among the devotees of Vaishno DeviĀ Mata ji that she calls the devotees to her temple. Many people want to do visit but somehow their plans don’t get materialized, but once a person get the call from Mata ji, he/she will reach her temple against all odds and hurdles. So many of us have experienced this first hand in our lives.
The temple is famous for its many miracles and devotees believe that the Goddess herself calls them to visit her shrine and grants their wishes. The journey and the darshan (sight) of Mata ji are believed to cleanse the soul of its sins, and aid in the attainment of spiritual satisfaction and enlightenment.
